2006 Tangent Ecclestone
This wine had a really interesting blend. Viognier, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Muscat Canelli, and Albariño all blended together to make a crisp, and slightly sweet, wine. The flavors are across the board from lemon-lime to apricots, oranges and mangos. The structure was supported by a nice level of acidity. Overall the wine was big, rounded and carried a lot of weight on the mid-palate. The finish was smooth and long. Priced around $20.

2005 Kings Estate Willamette Valley Pinot Gris
This well-made wine had a perfect balance between sweetness and crispness. It also had a lovely rounded finish. The nose had a little floral note and also a bit of wet stone. The flavors included pear, apple and a touch of lemon. It definitely had a sweetness that gave the wine its rounded finish on the mid-palate. The wine did not quiet have the extra dimension, but over all it was a solidly crafted wine. I would recommend this wine with seafood, or as an appertif on a lazy afternoon. Priced around $16.
