CellarTracker Tasting Notes (all notes)
These are recent CellarTracker tasting notes.

  • 2000 Château Côte Montpezat
    Thin, simple. (85 pts.) - Tasted 3/10/2010.

  • 2005 Reignac Blanc
Don't know how to rate this wine because I'm not familiar with this type of wine. Served at Women's Wine Tasting. We thought perhaps the first bottle was bad, so opened another. Overall, we had three bottles open. They did vary in aromatics and color. The overwhelming aroma and flavors of oily petrol didn't go over well with the crowd. - Tasted 3/10/2010.

  • 2007 Le Vieux Donjon Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Awesome nose of sweet berries, smoke, and pepper upon opening. The nose faded a bit as it was left open for a little over an hour. Lighter and sweeter than I was expecting with pronounced notes of pepper and berry. Good acidity and a medium length finish. Lacking a little bit of the nuance and secondary flavors I was expecting. (90 pts.) - Tasted 3/10/2010.

  • 2007 Château Moncontour Vouvray Demi-Sec
Fragrant, floral. Touch of sulfur that bothered some in our group. Lime on the finish. (90 pts.) - Tasted 3/10/2010.

  • 2000 Bruno Giacosa Barbaresco Riserva Asili
no nose, very tight, did not develop in glass. had good color, deep core and light to the edge. cannot tap yet into the potential of the wine. had this at caprice in 4 seasons and really a bit disappointing given the class. was not very enjoyable in this particular night. (90 pts.) - Tasted 3/10/2010.
